Having a good business mentor can make a massive difference when it comes to how quickly you can succeed. I find that most businesses make the same mistakes as I (now a mentor!) once did. These mistakes can be at best costly and a worst catastrophic. A good business mentor can point you in the right direction and let you know what of the numerous tasks you have should be the highest priority.

It all depends on how selective you want to be. A number of Web sites and organizations offer free mentoring. Some will offer a great deal of information about your potential mentors, while others simply match you with whoever is available. That doesn't mean they're any less qualified, of course.
